It would seem that, that normal weekly computer maintenance that some of us perform ritualistically, almost bordering on OCD, can land you in hot water.

i blow compressed air thru front intake then side intake let that settle hoover the crud off the floor of the pc etc then blow the air thru cooling fins on cpu cooler clean that all up and that's about me done for 6mths
i of course do this with thpc powered down and unplugged

Yes, we have to maintain our computer carefully.I have a computer of 1 years ago but looks like new. I maintain it properly. Last week I had done this on the “Sisytek.com” site.Really, it is a good site providing all types of computer services.

If you are under investigation and destroy files that incriminate you yes you can be in trouble. It looks like he lied about his involvement too. I "clean" my system daily. I also run a file shredder weekly. I am not involved in any criminal activity and all my software is legal so no problem.
