Computer no port com/lpt

I have windows 10. Just purchased a laser engraver. I installed the software but can't install the driver. I have to go to device manager, select ports( command lpt. I have nothing that says com and lpt. My USB ports are working. I have my wireless keyboard in it amd it works. But the computer is not talking to the engraver. What do I do

Most computers of the last few years [no information given on what yours is/System Specs] do not include the 9-pin or 25-pin Serial Port nor the 25-pin Parallel/LPT printer Port, most devices that would have used them in the past are now configured for USB/Universal Serial Bus ports. You may need to shop for a USB to Serial/Parallel port adapter.
