If you see this every time you start the computer, check the screen for instructions, like "Press F1 to load defaults". Be sure to save any changes.

As for the display of American Megatrends [AMI] there's really nothing wrong, many brands will display their own logo such as HP and Dell. Most BIOSes have a setting to turn that splash screen off.

It sounds like there could be a hardware problem with the USB adapter.

Without further information, the only thing I can suggest is to check the boot order in the BIOS.
There is a chance it may be attempting to boot from a USB device and failing.
Either remove the USB boot option from the list completely or change the boot priority so that it tries the HDD first.

If you do manage to boot into windows, check the USB adapter and driver health in Device Manager and look in the Event Log for related error messages.
