Got the problem that the KB3206632 will not install even though the prerequisite KB3199986 is installed.... maybe I need to install last weeks (faulty) CU first??

I restored an Image from two weeks ago and still, it will not update KB3206632, not even manually but only on my productive system. On my test system it went smoothly...

Just tried it again. It downloaded apparently correct and prepared it correctly but after a restart it said " It could not finish updating". At least some "progress". Guess I have to wait another day or two until it installs correctly.

I have failed 8 times to install KB3201845 and 3 times to install KB3206632.
KB3199986 is installed, so I'm in the same boat as Grizzly.

This may be one of those issues where there is a problem with the Software Distrubtion and or Catroot / Catroot2 folders
Might be time to create a disk image and try something like this
https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc#content
Download it to a new folder on your desktop and unzip it.
Right click ResetWUEng.cmd and choose Run as Administrator from the context menu and I think the option you need after answering Yes to the first prompt is #2 Reset Windows Update Components

have you tried downloading the updates from Microsoft®Update Catalog ?
KB3206632 : http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB3206632

yes, I downloaded it three times. the same msu file that I downloaded last (yesterday) did not want to work yesterday saying 'this update is not applicable for your computer" was now running through but like the online update it did not finish. gonna make an image now and try the link from Trouble. Will report back...

I'm not sure if my issues are related to these updates, but the computer was working fine, then the next day things were quirky. When opening file explorer, all folders come up highlighted and clicking on one causes all to open. In excel, when scrolling down, the screen scrolls down and then immediately goes back to the top. This is true of Word and Edge.

As an update: I uninstalled update KB 3206632 and restarted the computer and everything works fine. Is there any way to stop the update from installing again?
