SOLVED Descktop background recovery

I had a photo as desktop screen background and changed it
by mistake. I want to recover the original photo which is no longer in my gallery. I've tried the settings personalisation route but it is no among the five images shown. Please help

where did you get the photo from in the first place?, do you not have it backed up to disk somewhere?.

Agreed, an image must be on the drive to be available for use. It can be in Windows as part of the system or more usually in Pictures/My Pictures or another accessible Folder on an internal drive, not on a removable storage device or a Network or the Internet which would cause change when the computer is shut down or rebooted. Same for Themes which are installed but stored on the drive.
