SOLVED Did today's Update turn on a Feature?

Just did an update on my 3rd computer, got the following CU:

A follow up.
Bored: I tried another install of the RTM. This time fresh, without uploading my data. Went well. Huge number of updates waiting. I then worked through the device manager for any further drivers.
Everything, to my best of knowledge, is running smoothly. Disappointing thing is that I could not, however hard I searched, find anything particularly new that I could play with

That is the SMBv3 update MS released. Although I had no problems on any of my computers, there are a handful reports that this update is causing problems (compared to the millions that don't )
