Hi Guys,

I am new here and just signed up to this forum to ask some help. I am trying to change the permissions of a group of users for a shared network drive that we have in our small office. I keep getting the error 'Failed to Enumerate Objects in the Container Error' whenever I change the permissions. HOWEVER, If I change the permission just for one user it works fine as soon as I try to do for a group it gives me that error. I tried every trick in the book and cannot get my head around on how to fix this.

I have already followed the following tutorials but still had no luck can anyone please shed some light on this :( I am running the latest Windows 1903 Update.

  2. https://merabheja.com/solved-failed-to-enumerate-objects-in-the-container-windows-10-error/
Any help or guidance is appreciated, I also tried rolling back updates to 1803 but I still had the same issue.

My only and best guess is that you might want to check who the members of that "group" are and confirm that there are no members of that group who have explicit "Deny" permissions set for that share.

OMG, I don't know why I did not think of this I tried every other trick in the book but forgot about the permissions, a few of the users had it turned off, thank you :)
