Files not moving to PC

I have an external hard drive on my computer and when I go to move or copy something from it to say, documents or video, it doesn't go. When I try to do it again, it say's replace this file with this one?..but I can't see the first one, they seem to go to another documents But the strange thing is, I can copy and paste.

What I mean is, it seems I have two of everything i/e documents and when I copy to documents, it doesn't go to the documents showing.All the files I send to documents from usb or second portable hard drive go to ra-da instead of documents.
