front audio jack not working

hello, I updated from W7 to W10 today, and I'm pretty irritated that suddenly W10 doesn't recognize, that I have plugged my earphones in the jack, previously it worked perfect, now, when I plug in my earphones in the audio jack, my speakers go silent and there's no sound coming through my earphones
