Please refrain from double or cross posting, If someone has a suggestion or solution, I'm sure they'll contribute and multi-posting will only result in confusion.
Personally, I'd choose another browser and be done with it. Wait a couple months, I'm hearing that October will bring some changes to Microsoft Edge and things may improve.

IE11 is still available. Microsoft hides it under Windows Accessories.
Start button > All apps > Windows Accessories > Internet Explorer ir there.
You can do one of the followings :
1. right click at it > Pin to Start.
2. Right click at it > Pin to Taskbar.
3. Right click at it > click Open file location > right click at it > click Send to > click Desktop (create shortcut).
By default, Edge is the default browser.
You can set IE11 as default instead. If you need to know how to, please post back.
