I think its a security thing. Im trying to auto start speedfan. However the shortcut has a blue and yellow shield on it. Trying to find out how to change that but no joy.

You can add, or remove, programs from launching at Windows 'Start-up' using the following folder

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
or
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can launch the folder by

  • Pressing the Windows key + R together
  • Then copying & pasting the command into the 'RunBox' before clicking OK, or pressing return
The rule of thumb is .. You don't need breastfeeding, you just need to read the information that you have for Windows 7 & 8x. The front-end GUI may appear to be different, but the back-end still follows previous versions - because you all want compatibility & compatibility restricts change

Hope this helps
