Mail App - Groups or Lists??????

Ever since the Live Mail "fix", it has been crashing regularly so I decided I would try the Mail app. I don't quite like the layout, but maybe someday they will come up with some options. The big issue, to me at least, is have mail lists or groups that do not show up under People. I am on the board of a club and had a mail list for the other members. I tried this - I created a contact and under personal email I put some emails separated by semicolons. But, Mail doesn't seem to see this so I cannot test it.

Has anyone found any kind of workaround for this?
