SOLVED Microsoft age of empires expansion

Will not run on windows 10. I get this 0xc0000022 error message. Any help will be appreciated.

What is the full title of the game? Is it Age of Empires II: The Conquerors?

What happens if you right click the desktop icon and then select "run as administrator"?

If you could let us know the full error that would help, as it may point towards a specific dll that has a permissions problem (which sometimes occurs with that error code and old games).
