SOLVED Microsoft Edge not working

I've got a problem with Microsoft Edge which was working nicely but then suddenly the browser is unresponsive after opening it. After that it closes itself. I've tried to repair and reset the app from settings but nothing works. It is totally not working. Help

Which you may find helpful, pay particular attention to the final post by the OP, in which he refers to Trusteers "Rapport" install, which we've seen before, but not for a long time.

MIght be something installed by a banking site or other programs that might require some added browser security and it just not play nice with Edge.
