There sales pitches are pretty slick too; Microsoft says "There are two ways to get Windows 10, Upgrade or Buy a new computer" here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade?&pm=pse_ggl&SEMID=1&WT.srch=1&ocid=Win10Upgrade_SEM_GOO_MSBranded_ACTV_en-US_windows 10 download&wt.mc_id=Win10Upgrade_SEM_GOO_MSBranded_ACTV_en-US_windows 10 download
Push the "SHOP" button if you dare. As my grandad used to say "It's all about the money".

There is one other way to get Windows 10. Purchase the OS software which is now on sale for $100 to $200 depending on the flavor.

You can download and install W10 Free right at this link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows.aspx
Thats pretty much common knowledge now. Microsoft is pushing the free upgrade hard too; but it is still all about the money. A billion Windows 10 users are certain to spend money on Microsoft products you see. One dollar each would generate 1 billion dollars. There is method to their madness.

Back to the OP's comment. "Strong arm tactics" are definitely business as usual. It can really get out of hand too. In the news; Chinese hackers are still stealing companies secrets for "profit".
