Need Help Updating W10

I am way behind on my updates for Windows 10 on my laptop, still at 1803. When I go and update to 1903 it breaks my wireless and ethernet connections making it so I am unable to update further. I always end up just rolling it back to the previous version as I have found no way to fix this. I have tried several "Solutions" I found on google but none have worked. Disabling and re-enabling adapters, release/renew IP as well as many others. I am no longer able to use newer applications on this laptop because it always asks me to update windows first. Please help me!

try updating from iso file. use the link (updating from iso file).
Or download this (link to Microsoft's update tool) run the downloaded tool and it will download the update and will update it.
