Hardware: Alienware running Windows 10, wifi:Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230

Symptoms:
1)Under "Manage wifi settings", there is no choice for "Manage known networks".
2)Each time I reboot, the wifi network is not remembered, even though I clicked "connect automatically". Password input required
3)Other apps (e.g. Thunderbird, Firefox) don't remember settings like checking for default settings.

Tried:
1)Uninstalling/reinstalling latest manufacturer's wireless driver
2)Uninstalling/reinstalling wireless adapter
3)Numerous other things.

Any suggestions

Take the time to create a new local user as a member of the local administrators group (not a standard user).
Log off as you and log back on as the new user you just created.
See if the problem persists.
IF not then it is like an issue with your local profile.

I tried this. Same result. I think it's a problem with the wifi adapter but I don't know how to fix it.

Personally, I'd go to Dell and plug in the service tag number or other identifying numbers and see if they had a recent driver specific for your model and Windows 10
Sometimes hardware drivers for laptops can be a bit proprietary.
