No "New Desktop" button

When I click "Taskview" there is no "Add New Desktop" button.

What happens when you hold the
Windows Logo Key + Ctrl Key and strike the "D" key on your keyboard?
Is a new desktop automatically created?
Then when you click the TaskView button can you see the new desktop and close it?

No - nothing happens.
