After last update, my windows start menu would not open. I ran systems restore and now it works again. Problem is, which of the updates caused the problem, and how to remedy the problem.

Robert, you will possibly be forced to accept that update eventually. A lot of people are having problems with Windows 10 making their Start Button inoperable. There are so many solutions (None of which work all the time) that it is safe to say that there is more than one cause. Here are some solutions that SOMETIMES work.

1) Use PowerShell--which worked for me http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/com...g-here-are-four-ways-to-fix-it-11364000314532

2) Just press the Windows key instead

3) Uninstall your anti-virus and then re-install it.

4) Install the free Classic Shell Start Menu (Type "Install Classic Shell" into a search engine)
