SOLVED Outlook keeps asking for password

I don't use; nor have I ever used Outlook; but Oulook keeps asking for my password. How do I get rid of this Outlook message? Note: I use Gmail

Click the Start Button, then the Settings Cog, then System icon.
Left column "Notifications & actions"
Turn off the slider for Mail and Outlook in the list of Apps.
