Paint 3D Not Detected as an Editing App Despite 'Edit with Paint 3D' Option

Paint 3D has always worked fine on my computer, but today it won't detect images for editing. Although I can open the app and load images manually, the 'Edit with Paint 3D' drop-down option doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling, resetting the app, and using the troubleshooter, but nothing has fixed the issue.

Try this:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
• Find Paint 3D in the list.
• Select it and click on Advanced options.
• Try both the Repair and Reset options.

Unfortunately, I too am having the same issue and this did not fix it.

EDIT: Uninstalling, restarting PC, re-installing also did not fix it. To be clear, the app is working perfectly fine. If I open Paint 3D from the search menu (or the .exe), it works. But the context menu and "Open With" does not. Paint 3D does not show up in "Open With".
