I am on build 10061.
If I rollback ( not reinstall with an ISO ) to 10041, and after that is done, I go to RecoveryImage folder looking for the Install.esd.
Is that esd a 10041 esd or a 10061 esd ?

As I understand it and .....
I admit my understanding is a bit limited, it would depend on how you arrived at 10041.
If you perform a clean install from an ISO you will not likely even have a RecoveryImage folder.
I clean out the contents of mine after every upgrade to make sure I have the latest ESD so I can use that to construct a new ISO.
I believe that if you perform upgrades without cleaning out the contents then the ESD in that folder is not updated and if that is correct then the ESD would likely be a product of your earliest update / upgrade process.

How's that for adding a bit more confusion?

I have to modify the question......
1. I am on dual boot.
2. I clean installed 10041 into the Win10TP partition.
3. Via WU, I upgraded to 10061.

Now, is that esd file found in the RecoveryImage folder a 10041 or a 10061 file ?

If I had to guess, my best guess would be 10061.
If 10041 was a clean install then at that point you didn't have a RecoveryImage folder.
That would be a product of the 10061 update / upgrade and would most likely contain a 10061 ESD.

EDIT: The "date created" / "date modified" might be an indicator?

I agree. That would be 10061 esd file.

Now, I am on build 10061.
If I use the 10041 ISO and re-install 10041, will I find the RecoveryImage folder ?
If answer is : no. End of question.
If answer is : yes. Is that a 10041 esd or a 10061 esd ?

One more......
Now I am on 10061.
If I go Settings > Recovery & Update > Recovery > Go back to previous version of Windows.....
Will I find the RecoveryImage folder ?
If answer is no. End of question.
If answer is : yes. Whose esd it belongs to ?

If you do another custom clean install of 10041 into your "Win10TP partition" then, I wouldn't expect there to be any RecoveryImage folder at all
