Right click/New Folder not working

Hello,
I'm not able to create a new folder by right-clicking, all-of-a-sudden. When I right-click and hover my mouse over the "new" menu, my cursor spins for about 1 second, and then it shuts down the folder I'm in and brings me back to my Desktop screen.
At the same time, I can still use the keyboard shortcut to create a new folder, and I can go into File Explorer and create a new folder. I just can't create one by right-clicking. Also, I can do all the other functions of right-clicking -- view, sort by, refresh, etc.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hey I have exactly the same problem, all-of-a-sudden my PC wont able to create a new folder. If I hover the mouse on 'New', the explorer just restarts. My computer did some Windows updates on this weekend.

If anyone knows a fix, please let us know.
