Sound Jack didn't work in Windows 10

Hi,

I updated to Windows 10 and really liked it, but I ended up rolling back to Windows 8.1 because the sound jack for headphones etc. wasn't working. After I first updated, I couldn't change the screen brightness either, but that seemed to fix itself after a day. I would like to use Windows 10 but the sound issue is important.

Lenovo G50-70
Intel Core i3-4030u CPU @ 1.90 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
64-bit operating system

The laptop speakers still work fine.

I have a Lenovo 50 and it has Lenovo Solutions,see if you can find it on your computer,trying to be helpful.

Hi Drew94. I had the same problem. After 'tinkering' with the setting for a while with frustrations, I gave up trying to use my headphones. The next day, I tried again. My headphones worked for a while, then stopped. Just yesterday I got a message from my Iolo System Mechanic Pro, there was an update for my sound system, Realtek. That update did the trick. I am now happily using my headphones again.
