sound problem

i don't know how but every time i play song in browser(still chrome btw), audacity the volume went just double the loudness, but nothing change in volume value on slider, when i drop it from, ex: 10 to 8 the difference was big, like jumping. and when i increase again from 8 to 10 the loudness wasn't same as before. is this a driver fault or windows? cause it's very annoying.
