Annie. I had the same problem and took my three month old laptop back to the shop that I bought it from and they installed a new sound card that is compatible with the new Windows 10. Thats the only problem I have had and my computer runs like clockwork. Suggest you take it to someone who is a guru with computers and let them sort it out. Before you do that check that the Mute button hasnt been activated by mistake.
