Strange way to keep tabs pined using New edge

I have tried what everyone has suggested discovered on my own how to keep tabs pinned until Microsoft fixes.
On your bar you pin tabs leave one new tab right of your pinned tabs. When you open New Edge your pined tabs will be there.
