Just to say I have at last got windows 10 through the update system.
I used the media creation tool and put the download on USB stick, also uninstalled my AVG programs.
The update went through without a hitch, my ie11 vanished, which I expected, but all my old programs work, even Money for windows 95.
It did spend some time on " a few more tweaks" and " nearly done "
I love it.

IE 11 is still there, just use the search and when it shows up pin it to your taskbar.
