I have several programs pinned to the taskbar and after re-installing windows 10 home recently, I have the issue of when I click on any icon to open the program the taskbar voids all the icons for a few moments and then they all reappear. But it can take several attempts to get the program to finally open with everything vanishing at each attempt. The entire taskbar goes blank, and I have never seen this behaviour before so reaching out for a solution thanks.

Traced the issue to one program, a mail client, unpinned it and the taskbar is working perfectly again. Patience and trial and error sorted it.

Seeing the same issue here. I'll have to try that - but I wanted to share because I strongly believe this is a Windows issue from a recent update.

Unfortunately unpinning everything didn't work. I suspect maybe unpinning all and then rebooting would? Unfortunately I can't at the moment.

When this occurs, it seems like no window has the focus or the taskbar itself has the focus. If you press `tab` in this state, you'll see the issue resolve and one of the icons in the taskbar (the focused one) become outlined.
