I am unable to update my Asus laptop running windows 10, although other updates were installed today. I get an error code 0x80004005

There is a thread in our forum about the same problem....... unable to install KB3093266.
The only suggestion that did work for some members in that thread was to do a system file check....... sfc /scannow.
Do you know how to do that ?
In another forum, there is one reply which was marked as Most Helpful. A couple of members there said " it worked ".

I believe you'll be able to download the standalone installer.
