Usb's display, but not responding

I have 3 flash drives that, for some reason, no longer function regardless of which USB port they are attached to. They display as if they are ready but indicate "not responding" as soon as I try to access them. I see message "not migrating" under Events in their properties. Thi is a problem that has just arisen. I've been running Windows 10 since official release.

[Trouble]

Unplug the device(s) from your computer
Open device manager
From the menu bar select View -> View hidden devices.
Expand portable devices
Locate any reference to the USB drives they will generally show as shadow icons, indicating that they are not presently connected.
Uninstall all of them.
Reboot your computer
Plug in the USB drive.
