SOLVED Wifi connection no longer automatic

After recently upgrading from Windows 8.1 to 10, my laptop no longer powers up on my local wifi network. Instead of the wifi indicator in the task bar, I see a globe. Selecting the globe reveals all the local wifi networks seen. Mine is there with a strong signal showing to connect automatically, but does not. Any thoughts?

I will delete the existing connection and rebuild the connection to my local wifi on Monday. Thanks for your response.
