Just below the login, you should see the link for 'Sign-in Options'. Click on it and select the Password option. Login to your system and go to the Settings to reset your Pin.

Unfortunately the problem is not solved.I cannot get beyond the opening screen.
I switch on the computer and get the log-on screen with the box asking for my pin.
It won't accept my pin. The other option is Password. I have never had one for this machine
There is no option to do anything until I put in the pin it wants.
What type of account did you use to login with? Was it a local account with no password? If so, your only option may be to boot from a recovery image and then refresh your PC.
