Word 2010 won't "Save As" since upgrade

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my Word 2010 will not "Save As" in normal mode. It simply freezes with the little blue circle spinning. It will "Save As" in safe mode, but is far too limited to work with.

Any ideas?

I remember someone else was having a similar issue. They said that after Windows 10 upgrade, running the Office repair tool fixed the problem they had with Office. Could be a minor registry glitch that is easily fixed, if you run Office setup again for repair.

I have run the repair and uninstalled and reinstalled. Worked for a couple of times, then stopped working again.

UPDATE: I think I've found the issue. An add-in appears to be incompatible or has been corrupted during the Windows 10 upgrade.
