I can't find it anywhere on the hard drive, especially using either *.pst or *.ost. It's gone. How do I get it back?

Try searching for the PST file using a third party search tool.

I've had some success in the past using "Everything", when I had some difficulty locating stuff with the native Windows search utility.

I can only say that, typically.... IF the Anniversary Edition was installed "as an upgrade", it should not have deleted any files. At least that has not been my experience, after having performed several.
