Build 16299.19

[Trouble]

So things are getting a bit confusing.
Earlier they announced that Redstone4 builds were being released to insider fast ring participants and now, this.
So one might assume that this will be going to insiders who...... are not on the fast ring??
Who knows.

UPDATE 10/13: Cumulative Update Build 16299.19 (KB4043961) is currently rolling out to Windows Insiders running Build 16299.15. This update only includes quality improvements and no new OS features.

I just got 16299.19. Nice and fast only 5 minutes for download and install.


Dona told everyone who wanted to stop at 1709 to adjust their insider settings to not get RS4 builds. I did so.

Just checked. My Insider skipped this update and went straight to 17017.1000 .....

Which is what you would expect/hope for if you wanted to carry on being an Insider to RS4.

SO you and I did our separate things and both got the correct result.

I just had to change from fast ring to slow ring to get Build 16299.19 and prevent getting 17017, although I wasn't having much luck getting it anyway https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/build-17017-for-pc.15038/#post-74138

Both of mine skipped from Build 16299.15 and are now installing Build 17017.1000. My 5Mbps Internet bandwidth has slowed with both doing their things.
