Cant boot anymore

Upgraded to windows 10 recently..

Switch on machine..Windows failed to boot running diagnostic Scan

Diagnostic scan Failed..Reset or go to settings

So I try again over and over...same message.

So at this point a system restore was in order, I tried the 3 options..you know..keep files or don't keep files or a full factory settings restore

Nope none of them won't get past 3% at all even after 8 hours.

Tried booting from windows CD but that just takes me back to the beginning..

I Tried learning the cmd prompt and it tells me to shift everything to /E drive....I don't have an /E drive...or at least it's not showing me it...

New PC..nothing on it

Original operating system was 8.1

Any Ideas?

Did you ever get Windows 10 installed and activated?

Are you getting any options to "Roll Back" to 8.1?

Are you ever given the full range of recovery options such as Advanced or just the messages you list?

Your comments about an E drive are a little confusing, but could the Windows CD be E: ? Maybe a RAMDISK?

If this is an original 8.1 system it was probably configured as UEFI. Are you familiar with how to boot as device as UEFI? Such as if you can get into the Boot Device Menu do you show options for a UEFI or Windows Boot Manager?
