I have a Lenovo yoga with windows 10 Corei7 and I bought a external CD player on amazon and I went to both windows and Lenovo support and they said it's a problem with the drive and what I most likely think is compatibility is there anything I can download so I can let my computer recognize the drive and let me watch the great British baking show.

How is it connected (USB-C or USB3)? what model is the external player.
Can you try the drive on a different PC?

Does the CD drive have a separate power supply or does it rely on power from the Lenovo via the USB cable?

As a DVD player has a motor to spin the disk unless it has a separate power supply i may well need to be plugged into a USB 3 port to get enough power. And, some laptops do not produce the specified power on USB3 unless they themselves are plugged in and charging. My Lenovo Ideapad is like that. Drives an SSD ok but needs to be plugged in to drive a HDD.
