Could not start print job

After last update (Window 10 Version 1909 KB4560960) could not print to my HP Designjet 510 anymore. Did update printer driver. No success.

check that you have the latest drivers from the following link, don't rely on Windows drivers as they are often out of date!.

I also recommend you upgrade to version 2004 as you currently have version 1909 installed!.

Yes, there were/are issues with one of the Build updates for Version 1909 that affected printers, usually would appear to print but nothing did and the print queue would be empty. All the Version Upgrades to 2004 have fixed that for me.

Did update printer driver. No success.

Just updating the driver is not going to fix it. You need the driver/software package.

I recommend you uninstall said printer then download the driver/software package. Make sure printer if off before installing new driver/software.

Thanks Wolfie. I have tried. Unfortunately, no success. Back to old PC with XP for print work. Also, please see attachment. It seems 2004 wait for something to happen.

Hi Daniel,

that is an update for 1909 so I recommend you try running the update tool to 2004 (see the update link above) and don't worry about failing updates for 1909!.

I have the exact same issue but not after an update, but a terminated installation procedure.
Anyway to reset the entire process? I think the Printer Spooler service could be involved.

It is exactly what happens to me except it is Dec.24.2020!!!
