I succeeded with Aomei Partition Assistant, but the deleted partition immediately returned to x64Win10ProV22H2. I tried DiskPart but it referred me to HELP - which seemed to say that only DATA partitions can be deleted - I want to preserve the DATA but be rid of the other now-useless partitions. I know there are partition software other than Aomei (which does a good job of deleting MBR partitions), e.g EaseUS. Is there a brand that CAN delete GPT partitions ?

Working with partitions can be tricky, inadvertently cause data loss. I work with SATA drives in a USB Dual-Drive dock attached to a Linux Mint computer [good use for an older salvaged computer instead of tossing it] using the program GPARTED [GNU Partition Editor] which is also available as a bootable CD that is a lite version of Linux. I've not found GPARTED available as a Windows-based program. GPARTED can work with a number of formats that Windows can't and is great for putting a drive back to its as-shipped condition, fully clean.
