Desktop problems

I have Windows 10 computer.

It's my Grandmother's computer- I turn it on and it starts up normally. When it loads the background/wallpaper is black and all the applications on my desktop load. When I go to click on them nothing happens, it doesn't allow me to click anything else or click it again. I tried ctrl+alt+del nothing happens, windows button doesn't work either.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Hello Scarlet and welcome to the forum.
So basically, if I understand you correctly, you have a computer that doesn't do anything and is unusable.
Try booting the machine into Safe Mode with Networking and see if anything changes.
At the sign-in screen, before you log in, there is a power icon.
Hold the shift key on your keyboard and use the power icon to choose restart.
Use the advanced troubleshooting options to get to Startup Settings and when you click Restart choose Safe Mode with Networking (#5 I believe from the list).
See if anything works in Safe Mode, ignore the "This app can't run" messages.
