Operating system is Windows 10/64 and the drives were working fine until yesterday.
I made no changes to the system nor added any new software when they went away.
I have 2 Plextor Drives, a PX-L890SA.
I changed one drive out for a PX-891SAW, but it doesn't show up either.
Drives show up in Device Manager, but neither show up in Disk Management or file explorer.
Device Manager shows "This device is working properly."
There is power to the drive . . . the drawer opens and closes.
I downloaded the recommended firmware update for the PX-L890SA (1.07.exe) but the following is the message I get.

"No matched drive detected!
This utility is only for PLEXTOR DVDR PX-L890SA drive."

I've tried setting Controller0 to a value of 1 in regedit and that didn't help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
