Windows 10 64 bit with all the latest updates, HP I3 - 8 Gig Memory.
Try this: Open edge and search for anything. Open one of the returns. Close Edge. Now try the same thing with IE 11.
The results is that IE slows and even freezes occasionally. A log off - on (resets) corrects the problem.

IE then edge both work fine. Edge and IE, IE slow.
Tried everything - no add on etc. Anyone able to replicate this phenomenon and have a fix?

I've just tried this and can't notice a big slowdown - IE does seem a little sluggish comparatively, but I think that is nothing new for IE. Edge is a much faster browser over all, but your problem sounds like there's more to it.

Not that this really helps your problem, but I would strongly suggest migrating away from IE11 at some point in the near future - it's the end of the road for that browser and it is rapidly lagging behind Chrome/FireFox/Edge in terms of updates. IE11 is only really included with W10 so that there is backwards compatibility (particularly for ActiveX based sites) - there hasn't been any active development for a while now, nor will there be in the future.

I often use Edge and Google Chrome at same time with W10. Currently using GC for streaming LIVE YT stream with YT AdBlock; and Edge for forums. I don't see any slow downs with these two browsers, although I don't have any equipment for measuring such. I like Edge, so that's why I use it for forums, eBay, etc. I have Dell desktop and 21.5" monitor.

I think I found a fix for the problem. After using Edge IE takes a long time to go to the home page is the problem.
Tried everything and nothing worked!! Finally I went to the iexplorer.exe file (mine pointed to the 64 bit program) created a desktop icon, went to that desktop icon and set it to "Run as Administrator". The created icon works perfectly and the home page opens immediately!!! Closed ie and used the MS icon on the task bar and ie loaded very slowly (TADA). Removed MS icon on task bar and replaced it with the one I made. Now ie works fine.

I noticed on the iexplorer.exe properties that there was a "Link Properties" tab. Could NOT find any Info on it but I suspect it was the culprit???
