help please

I have the same issue as others to import my pictures from a SD card can someone help me please.


There's talk that the import feature for cameras and my case sd card reader doesn't exist in windows 10. It was real simple in win 8. Just stick the sad card in, the app flys out and you x the photos you want to import. That feature isn't in 10.

Anybody know of an app that will do this or some tech advice on how to program myself

I use windows photo viewer which you can download from Microsoft site
just google it and it will give you the link to download it

Windows Photo Viewer has absolutely nothing to do with importing pictures from a sdcard.
Photo Viewer is used only to view the pictures that are already in the computer.

Hello Schiasson and welcome to the forum.
What happens when you insert the SD card into your computer's card reader?
Is the Card Reader integrated into the computer or is an external reader attached by USB?
Do you see the SD card in File Explorer when it is inserted?
Check here
Click the Start Button, select Settings, go to Devices and select AutoPlay from the left column
Under "Choose AutoPlay defaults" do you see
Removable drive or Memory Card?
