I just checked my unmodified Win7 computer [doing the last updates] and it works as you described, don't know if there's a tweak for Win10 for the same, might check winaero.com for something.

Alright, thanks, i been checking around for a tweak that makes it open on click but i cant find any info that relates...
Opening on click and not release makes for a more responsive feel

Technically a mouse click is defined by a single mousedown event, followed by a mouseup event.

What you are describing would be a Mousedown event, not a mouse click.

Are you meaning this, or are you confusing this with a single mouse click ( as opposed to a double-mouse-click ) opening a file, folder or application?
