I have used regedit to delete all Firefox entries.
Firefox does not show in list of installed programs.
In spite of that, I can still open Firefox.
How is that possible?
And how can I get rid of this irritating browser?

Thanks for any solutions...

I've heard of this before, I think you might have done something when you used regedit to delete entries..You never did say if you actually uninstalled it from control panel, if you failed to do this but deleted registry entries this is likely your problem.
Here is a link I found that may (or may not) help.
Let us know if you find a resolution!

Thanks for your replies, which gave me a Path to solving the problem by simply re-installing Firefox and then deleting it.
Don't know why I didn't try that before...

If you do not have an entry in the {programs and features} anymore, take a look in the folder [C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall] or [C:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall] depending on what version you have and look for a program named " helper.exe " . That is actually the uninstaller.
If not present, you simply may delete the whole folder named "Mozilla Firefox".

Of course, installing it again, then uninstalling is the easier way......

Have you checked your default programs to see which browser is now your default??
