I need a CALENDAR on my Windoes 10 Laptop to remind me of appointments

You're welcome, sadly I can't take all the credit, I learnt that from elsewhere shortly after the release of W10. Actually to take that tip a step further if you do create a shortcut to the said 'Hidden Applications' folder on your desktop why not customize the icon too? It's as simple as viewing the properties of that folder where you can then change the icon to something more fitting

I can not find anything on Windows 10 to write appointments, meetings, etc. The internet has been no help as it assumes the app is already on my laptop.
How do I download, refresh... as I need CALENDAR REMINDERS.

This might help
Taskbar notification area at the far right. Click the time, add an event, set time, click the "check", then save.
Works for me
