Internal microphone doesn't work (extremely faint), but external does

Could someone please help me solve this? We have a 1 month old, Hp 360x pc. When using the Voice Recorder app (the one that came with the machine, any recordings are extremely faint. You can hardly hear the recording even with the volume turned up to 100 %. Has someone already dealt with this? HP support is struggling to find the answer.

The fact that an external Microphone seems to work properly and the integrated Microphone does not, might suggest that you simply have a bad component.
We have a 1 month old, Hp 360x pc
IF it's only a month old and an integrated component is not working properly.... It's not your job to fix it.
Return it to the seller for repair / replacement or money back
OR
Keep dealing with HP and insist that they either fix it or replace it or refund your money depending on the conditions of your Warranty.
