KB4586876 won't install

I’ve been trying to run the following update for a couple of weeks with no success.

2020-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10, version 20H2 for x64 (KB4586876)

It gets to 44%, jumps to 100% and immediately presents the following:

Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)

I’m at a loss as to what to do.

[Trouble]

I got a error as well when attempting this install.
Something about it failing because "the windows update service was shutting down".

After multiple retries I simply went into the services console.
services.msc
And manually stopped and restarted the Windows Update Service.

That seems to have worked

Don't know if it might help you as well.
