If my computer is turned off and I login, the name above the pin number is in correct. I accidently put in the wrong name when I set up the computer
How can I change this? It shows Windows 10 version 1903

Hello George,
You can change the name in the Mircosoft account in the following way-
1. Open the windows settings and then go to accounts.
2. Then click on manage my Microsoft account
3. Under more options click on Edit profile>Edit name.
4. Enter the right first name and last name with ReCaptcha.
Sign out and Sign in to see the changes.

My computer freezes at Manage my account.

It seems like there might be more wrong with the computer than just a username issue.
How often or under what other circumstances are you experiencing this freezing behavior?

Hello @george you can change the Login Name by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + X key.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. Under view, select large icons.
4. Go to User Account.
5. Click on Manage another account.
6. Select the User Account for which you want to select the password.
7. Click on Change the username.
8. Click on Change Name button

The first few instructions did not show as indicated. I finally got to manage accounts.

If I may, it usually is best to create a second User with a slightly different name such as just 1 character different. Then reboot to log into that new user followed by removing the first and take possession of everything offered. Be sure use the same type account such as with Administrative rights. I've done this a few times and haven't had any problems. Because of the possibility of a corrupted Profile it can help without needing a reinstall.
